Post Integration and Pricing
I've been a Mindjet desktop user for years, and although I've tried the Trial for Connect/Catalyst, I think the pricing is extreme and the features set for the web application lagging the desktop product.

Integration:
I'd like to see some integration with existing Web Conferencing Tools (Yugama, DimDim, FuzeMeeting, etc.). If you're going to develop a MindMap with a client and you can't meet in person then reviewing the map via a web conference always make more sense. The only way to share a Mindjet today would be share screen or possibly share web pages (Mindjet Catalyst or Mindjet Web) DimDim has an API for integrating other products.

Pricing:
$25/mo/user is excessive IMO. I think that a better pricing structure would be the model that Yugma and DimDim have set. Otherwise it would be cheaper to buy the desktop product or the web product and exchange maps. There are also cheaper ways to store maps online (Google Docs, Basecamp, etc.)
- Free for up to 20 users in a conference. a single host at a time.
- $19 - $25 for up to 50 users in a conference.
- I work with clients throughout the year. It doesn't make sense for them to purchase a Catalyst license or for me to purchase multiple licenses that could be used by any of my clients or web conference attendees.

Post Re: Integration and Pricing
Henry,

Thank you for taking the time to share both your feedback and suggestions! It's passionate users such as yourself that helped drive the input and requirements into both MindManager and Catalyst!

I'm wearing a new hat at Mindjet these days, product marketing, which evaluates our pricing, packaging, and messaging amongst other things! Would you be willing to speak to me and one of our product managers so we can better understand how you'd use Catalyst and ways that pricing would make sense to you (and of course keep Mindjet in business supporting our customers)!

I can be reached at 415.229.4305 and via email at michael (dot) deutch (at) mindjet.com!

Thanks again,
Michael

Another option may be a temporary or "lite" user; someone you are working with on a time-limited or occasional basis that you don't want to commit to $25 a month forever for.
